Prayer Letter from Wales (Woo Young Choi) SEPTEMBER. 2026

Sending greetings of peace from Wales to all my fellow laborers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ—the only name by which we are saved.

1. Preaching Ministry

I also serve in a preaching capacity for churches struggling because they lack a resident pastor. Please pray that, by God’s grace, these churches may be built up into communities of faith that faithfully carry out the work of saving souls entrusted to them by the Lord.

Do you recall Rev. Daniel Rowlands, a key figure in the 18th-century Welsh Revival? He ministered in a church in Llangeitho. It witnessed the salvation of countless souls and experienced the Welsh Revival. However, attendance has now dwindled significantly, and because they cannot find a preacher every week, they hold services only once a month. Saddened by this situation, I proposed to Deacon Daniel at the church (I am told the name "Daniel" became very common in the village due to the influence of Rev. Daniel Rowlands) that I preach there once a month, and I received a positive response. Please pray that I may preach there regularly and that, through this ministry, worship may be restored and the church may experience the grace of growth.

2. Bible Study

I am currently leading four Bible study groups. Please pray that the living Word of God may flourish, leading to spiritual revival and a ministry that is used to bring salvation to non-believers.

With a desire to see spiritual revival in Wales and a conviction to expand Bible study opportunities, I have selected two locations with no midweek gatherings and am preparing for them. One location is Pumsaint, and the other is Blaennanerch. In particular, Blaennanerch Chapel is the place where Evan Roberts—a key figure in the Welsh Revival of 1904–1905—was powerfully gripped by the presence of the Holy Spirit, and it is a church that experienced the fervor of that revival. However, it is currently a small congregation of about ten members, barely managing to keep the church’s ministry alive.

We plan to begin Bible studies at both locations in early October. Please pray that the various details—such as the venue, day of the week, and time—are successfully finalized by mid-September. Please also pray that through these Bible studies, worship and the church will be restored, and that revival will be experienced once again in Wales.

We ask for your continued prayers for our spiritual and physical strength, for God’s guidance and provision, and for the leading of the Holy Spirit.
